15.12.20: That’s... a kilo and a half of fruit for one 20cm cake. Somehow 2-3 times as much when my mother is making enormous quantities of cake doesn’t seem as egregious as this much for one normal size cake!

17.12.20: I cannot really justify how anxious I am about Christmas cake, but nonetheless, Gluten Cake is at stage 3 of 4, and I’ve made a run to the shops because to meet mailing deadlines I need to start Gluten-Free Batch tonight. And I have cunning plans for the off-cuts. . Would be nice if my heart wasn’t racing from mixed excitement and alarm though.
