5.9.18 Duomo di Milano: if I got a DSLR I could get a special lens just for photographing the west fronts of cathedrals. They never fit in a standard camera angle.

Review: The Night Tiger, Yangsze Choo. I don’t have a book photo, but here’s something this book (set in 1930s Malaysia) reminded me of. In the novel, Ji Lin is caught in a torrential tropical downpour and thinks about the alienation she feels reading about English people tramping over the moors in steady English rain. Sydney’s not truly the tropics, but that scene still made me homesick - there’s nothing quite like torrential downpours on King St. . #thenighttiger : loved it.
