That second pic - the curve of the upper valley and the point on the glacial horn - how bloody high *were* the glaciers? (And the answer is "possibly as much as another half kilometer").

I'm not sure where glaciers stop and perpetual snow begins, so.... HIGH. Not even sure what the peak on the far right is.. the Shrekhorn, maybe?

Not the far right, really. Middle of pic. Furthest right of the peaks there though.

See how pointed that peak is? During the ice age, three different glaciers slid around it and gouged out the sides. There was more ice over the top. A LOT more ice.
